goals.
Football grounds are fantastic, purpose built structures, that can contain up to 100,000 supporters. If the entry price for major matches was
about £20, gate receipts would be two million pounds. Such sums are almost trivial, against those that television and other companies are willing
to offer for exclusive contracts. Clearly football is an intercontinental entertainment industry, with top managers, players, and owners, getting
rewards equivalent to Hollywood stars, and movie directors.
International football has been a great unifier but it has not been lacking some problems, along the way. Soccer players from all races have
become acclaimed because of their abilities, when they have been signed up by clubs outside the country of their birth. The best footballers from
Africa, Australia, the United States, Europe, Asia and South America are instantly recognizable, and they are frequently on the move on the
international circuit. This has achieved a great deal in breaking down prejudiced race related behaviour.

football has assumed that mantle, and although only a small number of aspirants progress to become wealthy football players, they exceed those
