Vast sums of money are involved in TV rights, which has inspired the massive growth of armchair viewers. However, millions still attend football grounds to watch their favorite clubs. Many sports have become commercial enterprises as well, within which nothing outsells global soccer.

Brilliant footballers are being discovered in many continents including, Asia, Australia, and Africa. Yes and even the United States, helped along by their staging of the world cup in 1994. The Glazer family of Tampa Bay fame, have bought Manchester United, famous as the worlds wealthiest soccer club. We can only begin to wonder on the combined worth of the highest paid footballers, and the clubs they are signed up for.

In the electronic age there has been a great deal of disapproval, about young people not engaging in enough healthy exercise. Thank goodness then, that for many young people, knocking a ball about is still exceptionally popular. There are not many will go on to earn a living as professional footballers, but countless millions will carry on with their interest, as fans. Sporting enthusiasts, from far and wide will be able to follow the fortunes of their chosen clubs, and be in awe of the ability of the fortunate few professionals, who are endowed with the chance of realizing the past goals of those who watch and wonder.
