the globe, have come to appreciate that football can be a
profitable speculation. They know it produces significant
dividends from entrance money, TV contracts, and selling
promotional clothing linked to football club action, such as
football jerseys and a variety of others. Newspapers appear to
have growing sections related to sport, and football news, that
include match reports and results, top goal scorers, and
similar matters that must be good for increasing sales.
Football's global appeal is typified by the competion
identified as the FIFA World Cup. The tournament changes
location to various countries and continents, and there are
preliminaries to go through, before 32 national teams compete
for the trophy, every four years, winning or losing, until the
final is reached. Astonishingly, the Jules Rimet Trophy
attracts spectators and viewers calculated to be about double
the number, that watch the Summer Olympic Games.
Wannabe kids, want to acquire that extra bit of skill, which
could catapult them into untold wealth, and recognition. Many
will settle for different things, but rarely a young protégé
will appear, and astound the sporting world with a flair which
will be richly rewarded, in the name of "The King of
Sports".
